Pathways to Citizenship
--
Literacy Green Bay, Catholic Charities and NWTC
have teamed up to offer qualified persons
a pathway to U.S. citizenship through a grant
from the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security.
Interested persons can attend an orientation
held at Catholic Charities,1825 Riverside Dr. in
Bona Hall. Orientations are usually the
first Saturday of each month 10 a.m. to noon;
the 2nd Wednesday of each month 5:30 -7:30 p.m.;
and the fourth Wednesday of each month 5:30 -
7:30 p.m. Call to confirm.
Attendees will be
assessed and, from
there, referrals will be made depending on what
the student needs.
NWTC will offer citizenship
classes, and Literacy Green Bay will offer
tutoring in support of this process. If an
individual’s English skills are not up to where
they need to be to pass the test, they will be
referred to English classes first.
