WHAT IS THE COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS 1 COURSE?
This course, formerly known as GED-Prep 1, is a partnership between Literacy Green Bay and NWTC, and is designed to help learners fully develop the academic and digital literacy skills they will need to transition into GED Prep-2 and Prep-3 coursework. Course is offered at Literacy Green Bay and students will attend an Orientation session prior to enrollment.
Spring 2021 Virtual Session
January 4th to May 26th
Classes will begin the semester online.
9:00 am - 12 noon
5:15 - 8:15 pm
5:15 - 8:15 pm
A laptop or desktop computer with internet access and a working microphone and webcam are also required
to participate successfully.
In-person orientation will take place at Literacy Green Bay. Students choose one morning or evening orientation session to attend.
Start times: 9 am or 5:15 pm
Available orientation dates:
Your orientation includes: a socially distanced orientation--mask required, completion of required intake paperwork, help with set-up of virtual class, overview of the class and attendance expectations, strategies to help you be successful
Please bring the phone, tablet or laptop that you will be using for class with you to orientation if you're able. We will help you with tech support to be sure you're ready to successfully
begin online class!
