CCR1 (College and Career Readiness 1)

In partnership with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC), this course is the first step in earning your GED or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED). The CCR1 course is designed to help learners develop the academic skills needed to prepare them for the CCR2 and CCR3 levels.
CCR1 is offered at Literacy Green Bay. Reading, writing, comprehension, vocabulary, analysis, and critical thinking are the skills focused on in this course. Childcare is available.
CCR1 Class Information:
  •  Morning and evening classes available
    •  Only one day per week
      • Monday morning: 9:00 – Noon
      • Monday evening: 5:15 – 8:15 pm
  • In-class learning environment
    • Learn with others who share similar goals and challenges
  • Laptop Use Program for qualified students
  • Onsite day-care is available
  • Classes are free
  • Enrollment is currently open

Orientation: Required for all new students
  • Tour of Literacy Green Bay campus
  • Overview of policies and expectations
  • Completion of paperwork
  • Log-in and training for online learning program
Fees*:
  • One-time Registration Fee: $25.oo
  • Textbook: $16.oo
*If you're not able to pay these fees, Literacy Green Bay has funds available to help.
