WHAT IS THE COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS 1 COURSE?

 

This course, formerly known as GED-Prep 1, is a partnership between Literacy Green Bay and NWTC, and is designed to help learners fully develop the academic and digital literacy skills they will need to transition into GED Prep-2 and Prep-3 coursework. Course is offered at Literacy Green Bay and students will attend an Orientation session prior to enrollment.

August 23rd to December 15th

9:00 am - 12 noon

5:15 - 8:15 pm

Orientation

In-person orientation will take place at Literacy Green Bay. Students choose one morning or evening orientation session to attend. 

Start times: 9 am or 5 pm

$25 Class Fee Due at Orientation

Available orientation dates:

  • August 30th

  • September 13th

  • September 27th

  • October 11th

  • October 25th

  • November 8th

  • November 22nd 

  • December 6th

Your orientation includes: a socially distanced orientation--mask required, completion of required intake paperwork, help with set-up of virtual class, overview of the class and attendance expectations, strategies to help you be successful

Please bring the $25 class fee, and your phone, tablet or laptop that you will be using for class with you to orientation if you're able. We will help you with tech support to be sure you're ready to successfully begin class both virtually and in person!​​
