Adult Tutors
Interested in working one-on-one to make a difference in some ones life? More information can be found here.
Grant writing
Grant monies fund our operations in a variety of ways. If you have experience in writing for grants, this one is for you!
Board members
Are you a leader in the community and passionate about literacy? Board members are recruited year round and chosen once per year.
Child care aide
Love working with children ages 1-10? Volunteers help the child care staff in our on site day care rooms at least once a week for three months (Class times vary, morning and evening options are available). Orientation and training provided.
Classroom aide
Volunteers help in our ELL classrooms by providing assistance to both the students and the teachers often building relationships as you guide students through classwork and assist the teacher.
Volunteers can choose the morning or evening class sessions.
Conversation group host
Excited to volunteer, but limited on time? Student groups meet for casual conversation once per week for 30 minutes--just to talk!
Marketing and advertising projects
Are you skilled in creativity in social media posts, Photoshop, and Canva? Volunteers with the skills and/or passion to promote Literacy Green Bay are always needed.
Office assistance
Tasks in our office include but are not limited to data entry, filing, copying, creating and editing documents, and organizing.
Photography
Gifted at getting those great shots? We are always looking for photographers at our special events.
Student evaluator
Love to meet people from all over the world? These volunteers get to interview our tutored students before getting placed with a tutor.
Translation services
Are fluent in a language other than English? Translators are always needed to translate speech and documents.
Fundraising events
Various fundraising events happen each years, Such as the Scrabble Bee and Annual Awards Banquet. We also appreciate those extra hands.
